Take on a 4x100 km asphalt challenge across four beautiful islands

On Læsø, Samsø, Langeland and Ærø, you can embark on a cycling challenge of a slightly greater scale.

Each island now offers its own 100 km route on asphalt only - specially designed for those on thin wheels, but also for those who simply prefer a solid surface.

The routes take you through beautiful landscapes, charming villages and past some breathtaking panoramic views. The sea is your companion for much of the journey, and you can be sure to get to know the islands well along the way.

The routes in brief

Læsø’s 100 km

Læsø’s 100 km route takes you along small roads past magnificent and unique nature, to cultural heritage sites with seaweed harvesting and salt production, through dune plantations, forests and heathland, to charming harbour towns and right out into the nooks and crannies. Elevation gain: 65 m

Langeland’s 100 km

Discover Langeland on a 100 km cycle route from Rudkøbing along Lindelse Nor and the flooded Ice Age landscape in the UNESCO Global Geopark South Funen Archipelago, continuing through the hat-shaped hills and the historic castle town of Tranekær. Elevation gain: 574 m

Ærø’s 100 km

On Ærø, the route has been developed by the local cycling club Flying Heroes, who have ensured that you pass through Ærø’s unique Ice Age landscape and past, among other things, the iconic bathing huts, the maritime town of Marstal and all the way to the northern tip of the island, where you have the sea on both sides. Elevation gain: 791 m

Samsø’s 100 km

Discover Samsø on a 100 km cycle route through charming villages, along beautiful coastlines, past the historic Kanhave Canal and on to North Samsø’s impressive Ice Age landscape and the island’s highest point, Ballebjerg. Elevation gain: 496 m
