ÆRØ:DOX
Watch powerful documentaries on Ærø, where ÆRØ:DOX brings audiences together for film screenings and discussions about the world around us.
When the CPH:DOX documentary film festival hits the road, Ærø is right there with it. At ÆRØ:DOX, you can check out a bunch of documentaries from all over the world – films that give you new perspectives on people, society, and the times we live in.
The screenings bring together both locals and visitors. There is room here for curiosity, reflection and good conversations after the film. Sometimes the experience continues with talks or debates, where the film’s themes are explored together.
ÆRØ:DOX is part of the nationwide initiative DOX:DANMARK, in which cultural venues across the country screen documentaries and organise local events around them.
On Ærø, you can watch the documentaries at two of the island’s major cultural institutions: Bio Andelen and Motorfabrikken Marstal.
