Ærø Brewery raises the flag for Danish beer culture

Beer Day (Øllets Dag) is an annual event held on the first Saturday in September. The aim is to highlight beer and beer culture and get the whole country buzzing with beer-related activities.

On the day, you’ll have the chance to taste all the beers from Ærø Bryggeri (brewery), enjoy the brewery’s beautiful surroundings and see how the beer is brewed. Plus, there are always sausages on the grill and cold draught beers to enjoy in the brewery garden.

Homebrew Competition 2026

This year, local homebrewers will also be competing to produce the best brew of a specific beer style. As well as the judges’ assessment, you as a member of the public can also help decide which is the best home-brewed beer.
