Pony Riding for Children on Ærø
At Casa Ghiorsi, the Ghiorsi family invites children into the world of horses. The experience isn’t just about riding a pony, but also about getting to know the animals and feeling comfortable around them.
The children meet the gentle ponies at their own pace and have the opportunity to pet, groom, and help get them ready. Along the way, an instructor explains the horses’ body language and behavior, so the children learn to understand how horses communicate.
Once the ponies are ready, the ride heads out into the countryside surrounding the farm. The ride is guided and proceeds at a pace that everyone can keep up with. The experience is suitable for both children trying horseback riding for the first time and those with a little experience.
