Ærø Harmonikafestival

Experience music, dance and wonderful fellowship when Ærø Harmonikafestival invites you to a folk festival in Marstal with musicians from all over the Nordic region.

Celebration and popular tunes

A whole weekend of music awaits at Marstal Marina when the Ærø Harmonikafestival welcomes you. The festival is a gathering point for music lovers from near and far - with free admission and a programme packed with concerts in various genres, you're in for a festive few days in Marstal.

Over the weekend, you can experience accordion music from all over the Nordic region, from Swedish folk songs and Italian virtuosity to swing, Danish pop and folk music.

Music in the streets and on the stages

The heart of the festival is the two stages at the marina in Marstal. There are concerts in the large festival tent with dance floor and at Marstal Sejlklub, where the focus is on more low-key listening music.

The whole town is buzzing with life, especially on Saturday morning when the musicians spread out in the streets of Marstal with spontaneous concerts. This creates a very special atmosphere and gives you the opportunity to experience accordion music in the cosy surroundings of the city.

The festival attracts both seasoned musicians and young talents from Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany. Many return year after year, while new names also take to the stage.

This year's programme - in brief

This year, the festival celebrates its 30th anniversary and you can look forward to a packed programme with around 90 concerts on two stages at the marina in Marstal.

True to tradition, the festival begins with an atmospheric concert in Marstal Church and continues with concerts from the two stages at the marina over the weekend. Here you can experience everything from dancing and singing together to intense listening experiences. The festival ends with colourful folk dancing in historical costumes.
