A playground for the whole family

The playground at Marstal Marina is one of the largest on Ærø and a great destination for families. Inspired by the island's maritime heritage, it features two large play areas packed with fun challenges and activities for younger and older children alike.

Between the two play areas you'll find the local rowing and sailing club, adding to the unique harbour atmosphere. During summer, the clubhouse often hosts a pop-up restaurant where you can enjoy the waterfront setting.

Right outside the clubhouse is a floating pontoon where children and adults can try catching crabs with a net and see what lives beneath the jetty.

Plenty of space to play and relax

There's lots of room to settle in around the playground. Picnic tables, barbecue areas and large lawns provide plenty of space for picnics, ball games, flying kites or simply relaxing in the sunshine.

On the western side of the playground you'll also find two pétanque courts, where older children and adults can enjoy a friendly game while the younger ones play.

Close to the beach, harbour and attractions

The family-friendly beach at Eriks Hale, with its iconic beach huts, is only a few minutes' walk away and is perfect for a swim or a stroll along the shore. Marstal town centre is also nearby, with attractions including Marstal Søfartsmuseum, as well as cafés and restaurants along the harbour during the summer.

If you're visiting Marstal in week 28, don't miss the traditional Grollefest, when the harbour comes alive with activities and entertainment for all ages. Together with the playground, it makes the area a natural gathering place for the whole family.
